SATURDAY, 11.17, 8pm
COSTUME CONTEST!
ADMISSION: $8.00

This program includes the Multi-Galaxy Costume Contest, hosted by the Flaming Futuristic Empress Alexis Miranda of the Imperial Court. Come to the Saturday screening in full, sci-fi regalia and win amazing prizes, including a sitting and portrait with famous fashion photographer James Geras (whose clients include Donna Karen) valued at $1200! (click for list of additional prizes). We suggest you come to the Roxie box office earlier in the day to get your tix because this show will SELL OUT!

Now to the films:

Special Retro Space movie clip opens this program's journey. This is followed by a new work by Director Machiko Saito, Pink Eye, in which the trials and tribulations of a San Francisco Real-Girl-Drag-Queen's manic attempts at Independent Filmmaking result in seeking sexual satisfaction and oral gratification with broken camera parts. Then get your first helping of Whitney: Mama's Little Baby, promo 1, by Dir. Lawrence Elbert (don't worry, Whitney will keep popping back throughout the program!)

XXXY brings us a stirring portrait of two intersex individuals born with ambiguous genitalia and their struggle against the medical establishment and society's enforced bipolar gender system by Directors Laleh Soomekh & Porter Gale.

Now, don't touch that dial! Tranny Fest is still in control of the screen as you propel forward into a Study in the Life of Transsexuals by Director Dina Boyer. But you are back in control (right!) as you go visit The Man from Venus, a smart, funny and generous experimental work which tells it like it is, for at least one man, by Dir. James Diamond.

Just when you thought you were landing — hold onto your chairs(!) as Tremeblement de Chair, by Directors Mark Karbusicky & Mirha-Soleil Ross meditates poetically on the beauty, perils, and power of sexuality in a transsexual woman's body.

We aren't through yet! Nine transwomen tell their stories of passion, pain, devastation, and the triumph of a misunderstood sexual minority in I Am Your Sister by Director Lashambi Britton.

Then bringing you back home in style, Stacy Foiles Jake: Today I Became a Man gives you back control of your present with a charming performance by the youngest drag queen in the festival.
